These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Bijak's website and enrolment in our programmes. Please read them with care before registering. If you have questions, we are happy to discuss them before you commit.

JUMP TO SECTION

01 / ACCEPTANCE

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or registering for a programme offered by Bijak ("we", "us", or "our"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or enrol in our programmes.

These terms apply to all visitors, participants, and anyone who interacts with our services, whether through this website, email, or phone. "Participant" refers to any individual enrolled in, or applying to, a Bijak programme.

02 / SERVICES

Our Services

Bijak provides online educational programmes in artificial intelligence and related disciplines. Our current offerings include:

  • Natural Language Processing Programme — a fourteen-week course covering tokenisation, embeddings, transformer architectures, and practical work with large pre-trained models. Priced at RM 2,015.
  • Computer Vision Foundations — a ten-week course covering image representation, convolutional architectures, and vision transformer approaches. Priced at RM 1,360.
  • Short Course: AI Ethics for Developers — a three-week course examining data provenance, bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI development. Priced at RM 580.

Programme content, scheduling, and pricing are subject to change. We will notify enrolled participants of any material changes that affect their current enrolment in advance.

03 / ENROLMENT

Enrolment

Enrolment is considered complete once you have submitted an application, received written confirmation from Bijak, and where applicable, made the required payment. We reserve the right to decline an application if we determine that a programme is not a suitable fit, and will communicate this with reasonable explanation.

  • Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Prerequisites noted in programme descriptions (such as intermediate Python familiarity for the NLP programme) are intended to help you assess readiness, not to exclude anyone arbitrarily. If you are uncertain whether a programme is appropriate for your background, please contact us before enrolling.
  • Enrolment is personal and non-transferable. You may not transfer your place to another individual without prior written agreement from Bijak.
  • Providing false or misleading information during enrolment may result in cancellation without refund.
04 / FEES & PAYMENT

Fees & Payment

Programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) inclusive of applicable taxes, unless indicated otherwise. All fees are due as specified in your enrolment confirmation.

  • Payment methods accepted include bank transfer and online payment as detailed during enrolment.
  • Fees are non-transferable between programmes unless Bijak has agreed otherwise in writing.
  • If payment is not received by the agreed deadline, Bijak reserves the right to release your place to another applicant.
  • Bijak does not store payment card details. Payments processed online use third-party payment processors subject to their own terms.
05 / REFUNDS

Refunds & Withdrawals

We understand that circumstances change. Our refund policy is as follows:

  • More than 14 days before programme start: Full refund, less any administrative fee noted in your enrolment confirmation.
  • 7 to 14 days before programme start: 50% refund of the programme fee.
  • Less than 7 days before programme start, or after commencement: No refund is available, except in documented cases of serious illness or other extenuating circumstances, which will be assessed individually.

If Bijak cancels or materially reschedules a programme before it begins, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another cohort.

Refund requests should be submitted in writing to [email protected]. We aim to process approved refunds within 14 business days.

06 / CONDUCT

Participant Conduct

Bijak programmes are intended as a respectful and considered environment for learning. Participants are expected to engage honestly, treat others with courtesy, and contribute constructively to group sessions.

  • Academic dishonesty — including submitting work that is not your own without attribution — is not acceptable.
  • Harassing, threatening, or disruptive behaviour toward staff or fellow participants may result in removal from the programme without refund.
  • Recording or redistributing session content without explicit written permission from Bijak is not permitted.
  • Any misuse of access to course materials, platforms, or data provided for learning purposes may result in immediate termination of enrolment.
07 / INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Intellectual Property

All course materials, including written content, diagrams, exercises, recorded sessions, and supporting resources, are the intellectual property of Bijak unless otherwise indicated. Enrolment grants you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use these materials for the purpose of your own learning during the programme period.

  • Materials may not be shared, resold, or republished in any form without written permission from Bijak.
  • Work you produce during the programme remains your own, unless it incorporates Bijak-owned material.
  • Open-source tools and third-party content used in programmes are subject to their respective licences.

If you believe any content on this website or in our programmes infringes your intellectual property, please contact us at [email protected] with details.

08 / LIABILITY

Limitation of Liability

Bijak's programmes are provided in good faith and with genuine attention to quality. However, we cannot make representations about specific outcomes, employment results, or the suitability of programmes for particular career goals, as these depend on many factors outside our control.

  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, Bijak's total liability to any participant shall not exceed the fees paid by that participant for the relevant programme.
  • Bijak is not liable for indirect, consequential, or speculative losses.
  • We are not responsible for technical issues outside our control that affect your access to programme materials, though we will make reasonable efforts to remedy any disruption promptly.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian consumer protection law.

09 / PRIVACY

Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By enrolling, you acknowledge that we may collect and use personal information necessary to deliver our programmes and communicate with you about them.

We do not sell personal data to third parties. Data is retained for the period described in our Privacy Policy and in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.

10 / AMENDMENTS

Amendments to These Terms

Bijak may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For enrolled participants, material changes affecting an active enrolment will be communicated directly.

Continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to a revision, please contact us before continuing.

11 / GOVERNING LAW

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Bijak services will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

Where a dispute arises, we would prefer to resolve it through direct discussion before any formal process. Please contact us and we will make a reasonable effort to address your concern.
